Hello and Welcome to Porchlight!

I am the founder and primary therapist of Porchlight Therapy and Addiction.  I moved around a lot when I was young, spending my formative years in Chicago, go Cubs!  I came out to Colorado for school in 2001 and decided to make it my home.   I live in Boulder with my husband, two kids and Bernese Mountain Dog, Boomer.  I enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that comes with living near the mountains like hiking, snowboarding, and attending music festivals.

My passion is working with college students and adults on a variety of issues ranging from relationships and life transitions to trauma and addiction.  I have over ten years of experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Panic, Substance Abuse and Trauma issues.  I believe it is an honor to be a part of someone’s road to recovery and I know that therapy is not an easy process.  I believe it takes courage to ask for help and recognize the need for change.  I want to empower my clients to take new, healthy risks that will challenge their deepest thoughts and core beliefs.
